I'm only human

in Jersey Village - Eternal Martial Arts

This song "I'm only human," has been rattling around in my head for the past couple of days.  It's a pretty good song and apparently catchy, but I'm not sure if I agree with the message.  I think it's okay if you say to someone who's made a mistake: "don't feel bad, you're only human."  I'm not sure if you should comfort yourself with this saying, nor should you use it as an excuse.  Of course if parents say it, kids will find it acceptable too.  Of course we're all human and fallible, but excuse making isn't productive.  At some point, isn't it embarrassing to say what's obvious?  No one thinks we're more than that, certainly not God.  But He doesn't criticize his handiwork.
