Portion Control

When your child is eating too much, or eating too much of the wrong thing (cookies, chips, ice cream), we say that's enough honey.  Too much of the "bad" food will lead to significant health problems and generally affect the body in negative ways; it's undeniable.  Why don't we apply that same thinking to screen time?  Don't we all inherently believe that too much exposure to video games, computers, tablets and the like lead to an unhealthy lifestyle?  Parents, I encourage you to set the parameters of your child's intake of electronic devices.  Though they may not rot the brain as we've been told, they certainly don't lead to social skills, learning, or attention span.  It's just some food for thought!
